This page is all about the Native American Tribes.
There are 5 tribes we have to know about and the first one is....
The Inuit Tribe-
This tribe lives in present day Alaska and Northern Canada, Where the temperatures were below freezing. (-40 degrees)
They ate mainly whale, and got it by hunting it. They lived in Igloos and wore things warm like seal furs.
The second..........
The Kwakiutl Tribe-
--Lives in the Northwest U.s. where the temperature was Rainy and Mild
--They fished, did a little bit of farming and other things like that.
--They lived in Plank Houses.
The Third.........
The Pueblo Tribe.......
*They Lived in present day Arizona and New Mexico.
*They mainly farmed. They did this by Irrigation, Or the transfering of water.
*They lived in packs of mud, and sod called Adobes.
The Forth...........
The Sioux Tribe
..They live in the Great Plains area.
..They hunted buffalo on their horses.
..They lived in houses made out of buffalo skins and stick called Teepes.
And Last.....
The Fifth one we learned about this year is....
The Iroquios!
#They lived in the Eastern Woodlands area.
#They Fished, Hunted in the forest, picked berries and nuts, and did a little bit of farming.
#They lived in the famous Longhouses.
